Jane is currently employed as consultant to numerous leading industry companies including: The International College of Hotel Management Wine and Spirit Education Trust Le Cordon Bleu Yangarra Estate Wines UniSA
Working as a freelance wine consultant Jane spent October 2013 in Paris and Rheims undertaking the Le Cordon Bleu sponsored gastronomy course at the Institute des Hautes Etudes du Goût de la Gastronomie et des Arts de la Table (Institute of Advanced Studies in Taste Gastronomy and the Arts of the Table)
In 2011 Jane participated in a 3 week promotion in Shanghai led by renown chef Ann Oliver and sponsored by SA Tourism where she presented select boutique SA wines to invited trade and media at Shanghai’s most prestigious restaurants.
She was Export Assessment Officer for Wine Australia since the programs conception in 1986, is a regular presenter at the Australian Wine Research Institute’s prestigious Advanced Wine Assessment Course and has been organizer and MC for the McLaren Vale Wine Show Master Class..
In 2008 Jane joined Constellation Wines Australia in the newly appointed position of Wine Education Manager. In less than 3 years and employed on a four day week contract, she managed to develop, deliver and assess a comprehensive 3 stage, tailor made wine course to over 200 employees developing and motivating a culture of fine wine appreciation.
Prior to this she was Consultant lecturer at Adelaide University, course developer and lecturer to various TAFE colleges, ran wine education classes for various groups such as the prestigious Adelaide Club as well as contributed wine articles and selected wines for online bulk and retail sales.
Between 1993 and 2000 she developed and delivered international wine courses to the International College of Hotel Management after lecturing at Regency College previously. In the ten years prior to this, she made wine in a number of Australia’s premium wine regions
She holds a BSc. in Oenology, a Post Graduate bachelor of education and is a certified Wine and Spirit Education Trust provider. She is currently in her second year of a MBA. Jane has a long history of wine show judging at major capital city wine shows throughout Australia.
In addition to wine consulting, Jane owns and runs a 100 acre property in the Adelaide Hills where she has a 20 acre vineyard and runs 20 head of cattle. She also runs a Bed and Breakfast called Kenwood Bank Vineyard Retreat
